Parent Volunteering

Parent volunteers play a key role in providing a great orchestral education for Spokane Youth Symphony's young musicians. Parents of enrolled students are expected to volunteer for at least nine (9) hours per family during the 2024-2025 season (July-May) as part of their commitment for their children's participation in SYS.

Volunteering includes activities such as chair set-up and tear-down for rehearsals, concert chaperones, tour chaperones, program stuffing, rehearsal door guards, wreath pick-up day assistance, etc. Volunteer opportunities will be posted soon with links for signing up. Please check back in the next few weeks. Thank you.

If you will not be volunteering, you will be required to pay the $200 Volunteering Fee.

To sign up for volunteer positions, please follow the links below. Some volunteer positions have tabs at the top of the page to choose for each orchestra.
