Five ensembles from our Chamber Program performed for the residents of Rockwood South Hill on Sunday, December 15th. Holiday music delighted the audience, as did a performance of the first movement of a Dvorak string quartet.
This year’s chamber program includes members of the Spokane Youth Symphony Orchestra who practice together weekly before orchestra rehearsals. They receive instruction from instrumental coaches David Armstrong (strings), Sharon Cattich (woodwinds), and Andrew Angelos (brass) rehearsals.
Our chamber groups will continue to perform for audiences before our SYS concerts at The Fox and at other venues throughout the season and hope to return to Rockwood South Hill next year to bring holiday cheer.
